Carole won the Sept. 16th, 2008 election and was returned to office to serve anothr term as Governor's Council. Thanks to all of you who voted!!

The reason Carole ran for Governor's Council in 2000 is the same reason she serves today. It's because the role of the Governor's Council is extremely important to all of us.

The 8 members of the Governor's or Executive Council meet weekly to approve or disapprove of each of the Governor's nominees for all Judicial appointments as well as members of the Parole Board, Industrial Accident Board, Appellate Tax Board, Justice's of the Peace and Notaries Public.

Carole is known for her thorough review of each nominee that is put forth by the Governor. Whether serving with a Democratic or Republican administration, Carole scrutinizes each nominee and votes yes or no based upon that review process.


The First District of the Massachusetts Governor's Council is made up of the following towns and cities:
